TYPES OF IDS – COLOR CODED LICENSES
There are several versions of ID cards issued in the state of Montana. The cards follow color coding that indicates the type of card format.
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Gold
- Driver’s License – Blue
- Motorcycle Only License – Black
- Non-Driver Identification Card – Green
Remember: All of these license types are valid forms of identification for age verification for the purchase of alcohol.
